The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa is responsible for the health care services of incoming exchange students at the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Applied Sciences coming from the following countries:

• Exchange students from EU or EEA countries and Switzerland
• Exchange students who live in Australia and have health insurance there
• Exchange students from the province of Quebec in Canada

The above-mentioned exchange students are entitled to health care services through public health care. They have to prove that they are entitled to public health care services. Exchange students from countries or regions outside the above-mentioned countries or regions are not entitled to student health care services.

Exchange students are mainly provided with essential medical care. They will also be offered essential preventive health services, such as pregnancy counselling.

Using this form, you may submit a request for the student health care nurse to contact you. You will be contacted by phone or text message within three working days. We will try to reach you on weekdays between noon and 3 pm. We will call up to two times. If you cannot pick up at the time, please contact us again.
